The 25th of February,2016 will forever remain in the heart of every students of Keystone College Lagos, as they held their 2nd Inter-House Sports Competition. Team Anthony Yusuf's Blog were there to cover the fun moment of the event.
The event had it Special Guests of Honour Mr Segun Balogun (Deputy Managing Director) LASACO Assurance Plc, and Chief. Mrs Olusola Ibidayo Obe ( Chairman, Tax Appeal Tribunal, South West).
The event started with a national anthem reduction of the Federal republic of Nigeria and kicked off with the school's anthem. Sport officials, sports prefect and the sport master went ahead taking their oath. The event there after kicked off with the match pass led by the school's Head Boy, Head Girl and Miss Keystone College. The Police band, Boys Brigade and the Nigerian Red Cross were presents at the event.
Beginning the match past with various electryfying match skills and styles, Blue house (Saphire House) Green House (Palm House) Red House (Rubby House) and Yellow Hiuse(Baobab House). All the houses amazed the officials and the invited guest. Red house which is known as Rubby House, came overall first position in the match past.
The event continued with the races of 100 metres, 200metre, 400 metres, 800 metres, sack race, early to school, lime and spoon, 4x100 metres relay race, shot put, table tennis, scrabble and chess, volleyball, Staff race, parents race and football match.
There was a breath taking Callistechnic Display by the students of Keystone College Lagos which electrified the audience.
As the occasion gradually came to an end, the head of the sports officials handed over the official results to Keystone College Sports Master (Mr. Friday Idemete), he verified that there weren't errors in the results.
He handed the results over to the principal of Keystone College Lagos (Mrs. Olubunmi Olumuyiwa). Speaking at the occasion, she said to the losers that they shouldn't give up. In every competition there must surely be a winner and looser. She went further calling the official results.
4th Position- Yellow House (Baobab) House
3rd Position- Blue House (Saphirre) House
2nd Position- Green House. (Palm) House
1st Position- Red House. (Ruby) House
Students were presented with trophies, medals and certificate for their brilliant performance in the 2016 Inter-House Sports Competiotion. Winners of the parent race male and female were presented with an award plague of merriment while winners of the staff race male and female, 1st, 2nd and 3rd were presented with a huge amount of money.
The Guardian Newspaper and the Punch Newspaper were also presents at the event.
